When it comes to food in Andalucía, Sevilla is “tapas central”. It’s said to be the original home of this increasingly popular cuisine, and the culture that supports it, and with We Love Tapas you can enjoy an authentic tapeo experience, visiting traditional family-run tapas bars.
Our local food & wine expert will take you to three tapas bars in two different barrios (neighbourhoods), where you can enjoy the lively atmosphere, along with typical food & drink, while learning about the art of bar-hopping, how to order, and the origins and history of tapas. Along the way you will also learn a bit about Sevilla’s rich cultural past.
The Seville Traditional Tapas Experience is available lunchtime (12.00 – 3.00 pm) or evenings (8.00 – 11.00 pm) Monday to Saturday. The tour includes a selection of tapas and a beverage (house wine, sherry, beer, mineral water, soft drink) at the first bar, a quick stop tapa and drink (and a unique experience) before finishing with more tapas and drinks at the third bar. If you would like anything extra just let your guide know and they will help you order and pay at the bar, but most people find 5 tapas each (10 tastes) and 4 drinks make a good (and filling!) meal.
Groups are limited to a maximum of 6 people to keep them personal, and the tour lasts approximately 3 hours. At the end you’ll get more information on where and what to eat, and other tips on enjoying your stay in Seville.
